Bryson's first Christmas

What a difference a year makes! Hard to believe this is our sweet miracle boy's 2nd Christmas! Hannah has grown so much in the past year. We are so blessed.

We are hoping we can take a trip to see Santa this weekend but the sickness continues to come at our house. Bryson had a visit to the pediatrician yesterday and has pneumonia. Hopefully he will recover in time for a visit to the jolly guy in red, even though I don't think he will feel very jolly as he is not a big fan of strangers at all right now!

Decorating the tree

We decorated the tree last night and what fun we had! Bryson's new favorite word is Christmas tree. He had so much fun helping put the tree together and getting into all the ornaments and decorations! Hannah really enjoyed putting ornaments on the tree this year. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here!

Bryson loves lala aka Elmo with all of his little baby heart. He is thrilled over the lala's on his diapers, obsessed with all his lala toys and isn't afraid to yell lala as loud as he can whenever he sees the furry little red guy. So imagine his excitement when we put these jammies on for the first time tonight. I don't know if i'll be able to get him to wear another pair anytime soon.

Since Hannah was still recovering from the flu on Halloween we celebrated at home. Nanny brought over treats and we got her some Littlest Pet Shops, Pez, and other fun stuff. We took some pictures in the backyard. I don't think she missed trick or treating that much, and of course Bryson didn't know the difference. Hopefully next year we can go trick or treating!

Halloween Parade.

Each year at Hannah's school the staff and students dress up and participate in a Halloween parade! They walk from the school down to the beautiful town square and make one lap around the courthouse. It was a chilly morning but Hannah was nice and warm in her dalmation costume! When she arrived at school it was discovered her little friend Leah was a dalmation too! Twinsies! They were pretty excited. This is such a fun tradition, Hannah is already looking forward to next year!

Hannah has the dreaded h1n1 flu so there was no picture taking in our house today :( She's hanging in there but it's a tough sickness. Thanks for brightening my day Alicia I needed it!

Baby Stellan

This post is not about one of my babies. This is about Stellan. Stellan will turn one year old tomorrow. Before Stellan was born his mommy's doctor told her, that her son was very ill and would not live due to some very serious heart problems. Stellan lived and was born completely healthy. Since about 4 months he has had some trouble with SVT a condition where the heart beats way to fast and not effectively. Stellan's SVT is very stubborn and difficult to treat. Last night Stellan was admitted to the PICU in very critical condition. Tonight finds him still struggling pretty badly. His mommy is by his side. I have been praying so much since I found out and i've passed the word around to my friends in hopes that they would pray too. I do not know Stellan or his family. I have followed his moms blog (mycharmingkids.net) for quite some time now and I feel connected to his family and I want so much for Stellan to be healed and to be able to get on with his life. I posted this in hopes that any of you who read my blog might pray for Stellan too. The power of prayer has become so evident in my life, God is so good and I know he will wrap his arms around Stellan and his family. Thanks for reading.

Pumpkin Festival 2009

We took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch last weekend. We had lots of fun! Poor Bryson had a terrible allergy attack after we had been there about an hour but up to that point it was lots of fun! This is Windmill Farms in Chino Valley.

I took these pictures of the kids in the creek behind our house. As the leaves change color and time passes I can't believe how much our two little miracles have grown. We are so blessed.

This year we have a dalmation and a lion. Hannah LOVES dogs so much that this was an easy choice. We are going to girly up this spot costume with some ribbons and glitter. Bryson seems to love his lion costume. Uusally he doesn't like having things on his head but he did really well with his hood. For their treats Hannah has a Hello Kitty bucket and Bryson has a lala bucket... also known as Elmo. Can't wait to go trick or treating!

Sweet angels.

I love sleeping baby pictures. I often steal into Bryson's room and snap a few pictures as he sleeps so peacefully. Amazingly even with a super bright flash he doesn't budge. I realized tonight I couldn't remember the last time I took a picture of my sweet big girl sleeping. The bright flash didn't bother her either. I wonder what they are dreaming about. If I had to guess I would think Hannah is dreaming about Littlest Pet Shops and anything to do with dogs, as for B, probably a toss up between dreaming up things to get into tomorrow and school buses and trucks and cars, these are a few of his favorite things...such a boy.

This is one of Hannah's new fall school dresses. She looked so pretty on our way to church this morning that I had to snap a few pictures. Hannah loves church, she is learning so much about Jesus and i'm so proud of her. She is a kind sensitive little soul.
